    Just a thought Hoyt. I have never come across a pathogen that will kill that quick and then disappear that quick again. Forget it. I stick with ammonia build-up. You added General Tonic only. If this was some new super bug it would have needed much more to get rid of it, as Tonic is only mildly anti-bacterial. Keep a close watch on your ammomia levels, and dont add any more fish for at least a month. You will at some stage, as Henk pointed out, also have to decide what you want to keep in that tank. For optimum life expectancy and general health you need to get the right combination of fish and set water parameters accordingly.

    Thanks Marco,i have allready set up a second tank and will move all the other fish as soon as its cycled and only keep Malawi's in the 2 meter tank...
