    Hi Johan

Most of the guys will post various moss to you for only R70. Which is only postage.
It sometimes takes a little time becasue they do not always have some handy.

nope, dont mind at all! personally, i really dont like the look of using tinfoil... just cheapens the whole setup.. i'd rather use white paint.. it reflects just as well and it actually disperses light better than tinfoil.. another option is what zoom used.. that would be the reflective adhesive that you can get at most checkers etc..

blue light that is used purely for mimic-ing moon light.. does nothing for plants etc but gives a nice look at night.. also used for some chiclids to watch over their young at night

Strangest thing I have heard of in a long time.
My aquarium lights are set to still be on by the time I get home from work and then lights out at nine'ish.
If a visitor wants to view the tanks after that,I switch the lights on again.
But if the blue looks good to you....

Yeah does not appeal to everybody :)

But have a kind of cool look at night. I think most people call it moonlight.

il go for the 3 40W light and a night light , sounds good.. Can i use any waterproof white paint or do you recommend a certain brand? I had a horrable mishap yesterday and flooded my whole room with water (I broke my 50L tank by accadently knocking a a rock against it , now my whole room stinks..) , it would be cheap to fix , but im bummed about my convict fry that was in the tank.. Oh and how long would it take for the java moss to attach to a rock? i tied a bit to a rock with fishing line.. Sorry if i made lots of spelling mistakes , im very tired ( had to stand in a qeue for my license from 3:30)
Tanx to all people that are so willing to help , i appreciate it!!!! =)

Have a close look at the moss and at some time you will see some bright green tips on them, this is new grouth.
Hope you spread the moss out really well and not in clumps or you will pick up problems.
You will actaully see the moss growing tight against the wood/rock.

to get attached to a rock, depends on your tank equip, ferts etc..ie, depends on how fast it grows.. what u can do is take green / black cotton thread to tie it down.. after some time, the cotton thread rots off and leaves the moss inplace :) its hidden from the eye and you dont have to worry about detaching the string again..

Vez because the bottom moss will die and the top mos wont attach to anything so you end up with bottom bad and top floating pieces of moss.

ive attached the moss to two rocks now , i will c what happens.. Ive also put a extra 40w light in the tank for now , until i rebuild the hood.. And ive got some new plants wich i know are aquatic.. Il post a pic when the tank is done ( Im guessing this would take a few months?) Haha , i had a little mishap with my 50l tank a few days ago.. i was trying to experiment with an new kinda look for my tank ( I know it would have been something original and possably good looking) but when moving the tank i accedently broke the glass and in the process lost most of the fish in that tank , and my room smells really bad!!!!!
