Tank Filled

Got some help over the weekend to put the tank on the stand. I completed the plumbing on Saturday and yesterday afteroon I filled it up. Only snag is that I have to reduce the size of the divider of the first compartment of my sump as I think i underestimated the flow of the pump. Should be a quick fix though, will probably do it tonight.


Tank will remain barebottom until I decide what substrate I would like.

Well, after my father and I carried the tank in from the van he said he's going to build a strong stand as the tank is damn heavy even without water. Plus, I wouldnt want a tank base to crack and have 650 litres of water on the floor. Lol

 

That would be a disaster. How thick is the bracing and does the tank flex at all?

 

The tank is 10mm all round, the back & front top bracing is +-150mm (w) x 1600mm (L) and obviously 10mm thick. The bottom bracings are abit smaller +- 75mm x 1600mm x 10mm thick.
I checked this evening and I cant see any flexing at all. Even my old 3ft's flex more.

 

Sweet tank dude, have you got this one stocked with fishes yet.

Well done, seems like I might get my stand on Friday would be great I have been waiting for nearly 3 weeks to get it built.
