Awesome looking, had the same problem with my pumps and airlines. Use to first feed them and wait a hour then put my hand in the tank to clean and fix things. LOL
I look for pics and post them. I started with 6 and got 4 to adult size.

This is how they sorted out the weak and sick fish in the tank.

You know, that may not be entirely true, because of the few that remained, one had lost an eye early in the game, but grew to be a BOSS.
Another lost an eye, after about a year into the game.
I could always tell them apart, because one lost a left eye, and the other one lost a right eye.

When I find another video, you can look at them carefully, and see the missing eyes...

Quite an interesting thread. I was expecting it go down a different route. I thought Piranha were only aggressive when underfed and if conditions were kinda crummy?

I had * big beast in a 8 foot tank
    biggest 30cm smallest about 24cm
found them pretty difficult to keep mostly to feed and get them comfortable
there ability to recover from mad beating is amazing

Well, if you bought a school, and after some time, you would probably end up with only one piranha anyway!

Please tell me you have some pics?

Your'e absolutely correct on that recovery thing. They seem to regenerate before your eyes!
It's amazing how quickly they recover from injuries that would kill most other fish.
If you got a finger chopped off, you would be able to regrow another one within weeks if we spliced the piranha gene onto you!

Oh lol, I just realised that my comment could have been construed as criticism. What I meant was in the wild they are apparently safe, except when conditions change drastically. But I guess in a tank, the water level is always "low" so they aren't as docile as they can be in the wild

 Geez, and I thought cichlids were a challenge. Can't say I would be in a rush to keep them. For those in GP, the aquarium at the pretoria zoo has a piranha tank.

I'm sure a lot of people would love to have that ability

Have any regenerated tails? I see you mentioned that some were missing eyes, so I assume the eyes don't regenerate?
