Im sure most have seen the recent pics of the little 2 foot of mine but decided to put one on this thread. This last pic was shot tonight as the lighting started shutting down to simulate sunset. I dont think its too bad and Im proud of it as I built the whole tank and everything else myself. It is certainly not going to compare with some of the systems posted here already, plus my camera skills are not all that great. Nice tanks guys, really nice!!!

well this is my betta setup. it will be changing soon when the new tank arrives, ill be adding more of the greyish granite i find on my walks with the dogs, its nice looking stone and i get it for free hehe, ill be getting some more wood aswell when i go to our family farm at the end of June, im hoping to find some really architectural pieces which means im going to be walking alot lol. ideally id like to find something in one of the rivers then at least its already soaked abit:p. the second tank is just something i found and i thought it was really cool, i like the way the moss on the wood looks like a under water tree.

Thank you to everyone that entered, results will be out in a day or two hopefully.

If I can just offer a little bit of friendly advice when taking pics of your fish tank.

Two things that spoil even the best of photo's is 1. Reflections and 2. Camera Flash.

Take this pic for example, a stunning photo of a great tank, but that big white blob of camera flash really distracts you from the photo.

A couple of examples of bad reflections
All the windows in the background and then also that bright white reflection near the front bottom of the tank, very distracting.

This one with the bicycle wheels in the middle of the tank.

I'm not criticising you guys, just trying to offer a bit of help. :)

If you can, try and take your photo's at night when there is no sunlight coming through the windows and reflecting off of surfaces, switch the room lights off as well.

So thanks to everyone for submitting their pics.

The next comp I think will be a general one, open to photo's of anything and everything. Starting shortly.

Getting that camera flash out is hard some times, since you want a surtan angle on the tank. But thanks for the tip
