    Thanks @Reedfish

    These orange ones are striking and unusual as they completely lack vertical bars.

    Stunning colours. I don't know if I've ever seen a discus like that? Is it unusual?

    I understand the benefits of "PF" fish, can you also add comment as to a process to achieve this and then the route you use to keep the water "PF" clear.

    Thanks

    @pHish_man,

    Marco has recently given us a virtual tour of his fish room.

    Hi @howard

    Basically the founder of this method of keeping fish parasite free, Gerhard Rahn from Germany, uses a sequence of formalin dips of the eggs shortly after spawning. He then artificially raises the spawn and uses them as breeders. One needs to be careful not to cross contaminate via equipment, water or adding other fishes to the system that are not pf.

    Google names like Oswald Hanke, Alexander Piwowarski, Gerhard Rahn

    Add the words parafree discus to help the search.

    Beautiful. Heaven forbid, but how would you first realize that they may have picked up parasites somehow?
