Oscar photos

Beautiful creatures, one of my favorite fish. Almost like dogs.

 

My 2 Oscars is like dogs. They are extremely tame. You can scratch their heads, belly and so on, but if you hold any fish food bags in your hand they go mad like 2 crazy dogs for food. I am busy learning them to show me a trick before they will get food, or I first want to scratch their head before I give them food. They are extremely cleaver. If you hold any bag in your hands they know it is not food, but the moment you pic up one of their food bags, they know it for them and they know what bag is their favourite food.

My male oscar enjoys watching action movies. If I put a blanket up so that they can not see the Tv, he will get so upset that he bangs the glass. I call them my water dogs.

this is my pair of long fin oscars about 2years old. go crazy whenever they see people aka opportunity for food. pretty peaceful oscars. long fin oscars seem to be vry gentle

Wow awesome fish guys and some nice photo's there, i've been wanting to go with Oscar's for years but every time the decision comes up i go Malawi's, will have to get another tank for Oscars.

 

Don't point directly at the glass, aim down or up slighting so the flash doesn't bounce directly back at the camera.

You making me miss my Oscar, his name was Riddler, and he just got too big for me.

My daughter named him Riddler because some of his patterns looked like question marks.
I'll dig through the archives and post a pic when I find one...

 

I just love these 2, they are amazing.
