I left 2 or 3 baby guppies in my community tank to see if they will survive.

Either shutting all down or starting from scratch.

Got an excellent home for the Red Tail Catfish as well as my Jaguar, now I feel loads better.

 

Last Picks of them I took before I let them go.
Donated the Pleco to the same guy who bought the Jaguar and Redtail from me.
Redtail was already over 26cm when I sold him and when I got him back in Nvember 2017 I bought him at around 7cm

Red Tail catfish are a big problem.. they grow at an alarming rate and its not only the size they get to but also the fact that they will eat everythig and anything else in your tank unless its huge too

Now.. dont shut down and give up!!

 

Yeah, thing unfortunately did not work out as planned. Wanted to do a DIY heated pond for the Catfish and then an event happened that through me back quite allot financially.

Just glad the guy whom bought them from me have the right resources and setup to cater for these fish.
Will either shutdown if I cannot make up my mind and save up to buy the setup I always wanted to to a proper rift lake cichlid setup again, miss keeping mbuna allot! Might give tangs a try perhaps else I might do something new. Alot to think about for now already missing these guys I sold but feel good about them going to a place which can better support them.

I always read that those catfish grow fast, but only saw how scary fast it was when I kept one myself.

The part that bothers the the most is that the day I bought mine the store had 100s in the tank I took mine from and after the weekend when I went back all were gone. Hope everyone that took them will do right by them

 

Its hard sometimes to make certain decisions but you made the right one and you can be proud of that
Your passion for the hobby s there and where there is a will there is a way and Im sure things will come right
Mbunas and tangs make awesome setups and im sure you will get there

 

Not sure if any of these will be OK for the fish .. or even for the humans, suppose it depends who is fed what.

Maybe see a Betta Splendens in these jars for a mini - aquaponics setup.
