now this blacklist

    Think this is all left up to opinion. And what you believe is the right thing to do. Most people feel if something doesnt effect them directly they dont care. On the other hand if you would not care and have a disregard to the list what you can keep (according to you) just got a whole lot better.

    I for one agree more with how america goes by fish and reptile keeping and distrebution.

    For example each state has its own blacklist. Instead of one right through the whole country. Because certian species would only survive in scertain areas and temp ect.

    Like whise in Western Cape most fish on the blacklist would never survive a winter.
    But the same fish might live in rivers and even breed in warmer higher parts. KZN for example.

    In america you can not get in trouble for having illegal fish, nor does it get confascated, but the person responsable for selling you this gets finned very heavaly.

    Think this could work better here to.

    Fishwhisperer - I think you make an interesting point. And i know you can get fined for keeping indigenous creatures (such as african bullfrogs), but im not sure on how they will react to us if we were keeping illegal fish.
