    @A new day

    We quickly tried to meassure her without causing too much stress and I measured 58cm
    Could be a cm more or a cm less but thats as close as i got
    Her girth is about 14/15cm.. she is big..

    @DoubleDutch , i have watched that video several times and always amazes me!!

    And sadly we had first hand experience of their power

    About 5 years ago, @Cesar lost his 1.1m Silver....
    He had 12mm glass sliders weighed down... Dragon as we nicknamed her broke through the 12mm glass and we lost her
    What a disaster and mess that was... glass all over inside the tank too

    Asians also jump but since Dragon, we got rid of the glass sliders and we now use see through chromadec sheets which dont break and they cant get hurt
    I have 3 x 100mm x 70mm roof trusses weighing the sheet down, one along each side and one in the centre

    Congrats on the pups, they're adorable!

    Out of curiousity, are there any precautions to take when getting landscaping driftwood? I've heard that fruit trees are usually safe to use, but i have no idea if they label like that

    Thank you @fux940510

    I do believe fruit trees can be used for wood but it would have to be dried properly first
    I usually use either Mopani or vine
    We have also bought landscaping driftwood several times, from C &M Landscaping in Pretoria and never had a problem

    I try and use Mopani if possible. It is a very hard wood
    I have found that softer wood does not last as well in water long term.
