If you google Boraras brigittae, Microrasboras brigittae and Boraras merah you get the same google image result.

Any webpage for these, stating the diff?

+- 45 of these and they are all about 2cm fully grown.
Microrasbora Kubotai (15)

One pair of sunset gouramis.

 

In a tank that size you might actually want to up those numbers. I've got 19 Harlequin Rasboras in my 3ft that school nicely. And don't forget to add lots of plants for hiding space and a nice long stretch for them to swim in.

To that stocking list you could/should also add some Otocinclus (about 3 to 6) and some Pygmy Corydoras (at least 6). They should add some variety and make a bit of a cleanup crew.

Definitely Corys. You can't have a tank without Corys....

 

Corys are awesome and I imagine a school of them would just be awesomer

 

Saw some panda corys once and really liked them but never saw them again.

 

Pandas, while they are indeed relatively small, might still be too big for the Microrasboras, that's why i'd say Pygmy Cories. I bought a group of 4 about 2 months ago and they've added their own little something to my pretty diverse tank. And they seem to school a lot better than my other cories ever have. It must be something to do with their relative size to the 3ft tank.

 

Where did you find the pygmy's as I have never found them anywhere.

 

I know there is "dwarf Corie's " here in a pet shop called fantasy fish and they are going for R15 each if that is what you are looking for.

 

I got them from the Wonderboom bird park and aquarium, at the Western end of Braam Pretorius street. I haven't seen them again, but I'm sure you should be able to find a place that can order them for you.

Wow, that's a gorgeous little fish, but how easy are Killis to keep in community tanks?

 

Depends on the species, but I'd keep them in species tanks.

Aslo have a very stunning Fire Gourami. Going to add 2 females when I find them.

The tank is setup and waiting for it to complete the biological filtration.
Will start a new threat for it and post some pics when I bought some batteries for the camera

Wanted to ask about the corys. I am going to have the whole bottom of the tank covered in dwarf hair grass. Thought they might not like that?

 

I doubt they'd have a problem with that. While mine are on soft playsand, they spend a lot of their time in the thick vegetation as well.

 

So, it's middle of March, any progress with getting the microrasboras?
