    Thanks for the heads up. If I decide on a rams tank I won't do it fully planted. I'll also do my research before hand. But any help from @Marco will be much appreciated.

    Guys I don't know where to put this and I didn't want to create another thread so I'll ask here. I found this piece of hardwood and it seems to be have been dried out over a couple of winters now.

    Do you think it's safe for aquarium use? I have no idea what wood it is.
