Havent been posting much here as we have been quite busy.

Really big project we are working on and I am super excited, I will be posting updates soon and progress photos. It has just been taking some time and I want to keep the journey together without other stories in between.

All I’m gonna say is, it’s gonna weigh 1.6 Tons when complete.

Still have a TON of work to do as we are also working on a different project at the same time.

The other one is a little more important, will be sharing as soon as that has been fully established.

Yep, breeding project, this is rack 1 of 8. There are still 2x 150L tubs going in the bottom.

    Roughly 1500L system.

And then we have a smaller system for a special breeding project, that we will share as soon as its all established. Lots going on behind the scenes

Any particular reason why you didn't go for clear tubs?

Looking like a great project none the less

Yes, your clear tubs are a lot thinner, these provide a little more insulation.

And due to the fact that they are outside, I want to insulate them as best as possible. There is still insulation going around the entire stand.

Ah okay that makes sense. Was wondering how you're going to keep temps stable.

Will you have a central filtration or individual?

Yeap its a pain, but its BIG. And like I said this is 1 of 8. I do still have to close the entire lapa, but I will do that some other time.

Then I dont have to worry about using tubs as tanks, and might actually change them to acrylic tanks so you can see in to them.

    Central filtration with individual heating.

    Installing some overflows currently

They still need to be closed off with a fine mesh, so no little shrimp can slip through

All the plumbing has been done today, don’t have a pic of that as it was really dark when I finished!

    Inlets all done
Ball valves on every tank done
    Overflows all done
    Piping to sump all done

Still need to hook up the pump and assemble the sump, but thats real quick. Will do that as soon as everything is working.

Will be doing a Leak test tomorrow, if everything goes well ill start the cycling process.

Will be seeding the filter with an already established tanks water as well as some of the filter media in that tank, also going to be using either

    API Quick start
Some Bio Boost product (cant remember the name)
    Or
    Seachem stability.

Not too sure yet, will also be testing the water on a regular basis to see how it is running with whatever product I will be using.

Sooo, Not much to update today. Redid my water inlet system from scratch, so still basically the same news

Will be testing once again tomorrow for leaks, tested the new system real quick and there were tiny leaks here and there so I sealed all of that up.

If everything works tomorrow, we will then begin to insulate the system.

Also set up 2 new tanks, for something special

And a 3rd tank will be set up later tonight as soon as I receive some things I’m waiting for.

    Soooo, a little secret……

Amano female decided to surprise me with some babies after a water change.

Had their salt water setup running and ready for a while now.

Will be moving the babies to their salt water later tonight when the sun goes down.
