If I remember correctly, there was a thread a while back that discussed the 'problems' that some had experienced with curved tanks.
In my opinion of the Jebo and Jewel tanks that I have seen, I would rather go for the Jewel. They just look better quality. I have/had neither, so my opinion is based purely on looks.
But then again, personally I would not pay R5000 or more for a tank. I guess I am just a cheapskate. LOL
Good luck with the tank though, I am sure it will be great when set up.

Curved fish tanks have their pro's and con's, and in my opinion, more con's than they are worth.

The "glass" is made out of a polycarb type plastic, at "x"mm thick. During th manufacturing, during the bending process, you find that the bent section is thinner than x. So what the guys are going is using the correct thickness of "glass" but the bent section is often a few mm thinner. A LOT of people have experienced a curved glass tank "spontaneously" burst. I myself lost a 160litre curved glass tank about 6 months ago. Sadly insurance insisted on replacing it, rather than giving me the money, so I've still got a curved tank.

I will always maintain the viewpoint that if you can afford a curved tank... then SAVE that money and get someone to custom make a tank for you. If you have saved R5000 for the Jebo, then take that R5k and buy yourself a BIGGER glass tank for the same price, INCLUDING stand and a sump! You might have to custom make the hood.. but this also comes with it's pros because with it being custom, you can increase your lights, or change. Generally the Jebo's or Jewels hoods are fitted with globes and ballusts... and will take a LOT of DIY'ing of that hood to increase the lighting. And if you haven't worked it out already, a sump is by far the bst filtration!

I'm not arguing mate. Just stating what I heard from the agents when I ordered mine.

"New Jebo DO NOT come with internal filters anymore due to their inadequacy. Instead, an extra light fitting is supplied."
