    Hi Takumi,

Thanks, she does pepper from time to time, but seems to be less as she grows (I am assuming she is female using the geometrical method) http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~davidr/discus/articles/sexingdiscus.html - the substrate I am using is fine sililca sand, which I purchased pre washed from a lady in my area, its actually heavier than I thought and very easy to use, don't have to pre wash it and it settles in a couple of hours and you have a crystal clear tank, the discus also enjoy blowing into the sand to lift the food and the cory's love it too!

    Cheers,
    Candice

@Aqua they look really beautiful! and i'm sure they will calm down once they've all settle in nicely.. the valis is a good idea, it will help with keeping the water conditions nice too by using up any excess nitrates etc.

    very very nice :)

    lovely!!!

cant stop gawking at this tank lol

listen, here's an idea, your java moss seems to be doing really well, when you have a couple of long tendrils growing between two branches that are near each other, pull them across between the two branches, and they will grow into some type of natural canopy where the fish can hide out :)

    it would look so cool!

    Thanks @Dmandavid,

Things have changed quite a bit, in terms of decor and substrate, although I really enjoyed the way it looked, it turned out that for water quality it was not the best option, so I have slowly but surely turned this tank into a bare bottom tank. I am still in the process and have a small amount of silica sand remaining, which I remove more and more of at every wc. I have learnt that bb really is best for Discus.

    Kind regards,
    Candice

This is how the tank looks now minus the silica sand though as this is not a latest pic:

The tank looks great Candice! I don't know the names of the color variants you have but they look great together. Well done.

Thanks @SloMo.00. I am going to have to update all my tanks again, as things have changed quite a bit lol, still have all the fish above, but have moved them to the 468lt tank (they look so much smaller now lol!).. and I have moved the RT babies into the tank above (bare bottom). Just sorting a few things out then I will post updated pics with the tanks :)

    Cheers,
    Candice
