New Cichlid tank?

    Wait for them to form pairs (M&F) then keep 2 pairs (2M & 2F = 4 fish). The flat stones are their prefered spawning material. Apparantly they will also dig small hollows in the substrate and spawn in that if there are no flat stones.

    y cool, now i got a idea, thats for the pic, and is there any idiots way to sex these fish as i dont trush the lfs as the one i want to buy from doesnt know the differance between male/femlae guppies...

    Look at the first black stripe behind the eye. If there are little blue spots in the black stripe/dot then it's a female GBR (you can alsolook for the pink underbelly). The front black part of the males dorsal fin will be quite spiky/prominent.
