    lol
No, as much as I love putting weird and wonderful things in water this is just a feature stuck on the stand. The stand has a big bloody desert of pine plywood that needs a focal point.

@Adrian Gatter , what's going on in the tank? I can't quite make it out but is that a bowl and colander in there?

I stuck the tree to the stand and it looks amazing:

    It's been a bit of a disappointing evening :-(
I didn't like the blue tint on the new tank so I ripped it off an tinted the back glass green. I was trying to decide if I wanted to tint just the back or the back and sides. Being a framed display tank and one side facing a wall I thought it would look better with the sides tinted. I turned the tank on it's side and went off to the kitchen to get another beer and I heard a bang. The tank cracked. So bizarre, it was on it's side for about 20min and then bang. I suspect a temperature differential caused it; the fire on one side of the room and the cold window on the other side, all it needed was a cold breeze.

Tomorrow I'll get a piece of glass cut and silicon it in.
The next disappointment was the design. I had always planned to have a half pole running up the front with the tree breaking the pole. But I never expected the tree to be so pretty so now the pole spoils the tree. I dunno, what do you guys think? This is with tinted sides.
