I never thought staring at an empty tank will be so stimulating. lol. Since the day i got it, I had to be at work. So every day when i get home, i just look at, did not do a single thing yet. Trying to imagine what I'm going to do with it. But to be honest I'm also feeling a little out of my depth, pun intended. :).

It may not be big to some but its the biggest tank I owned, I hope i know what im doing, lmao.

I got some quote's that were R500 to R1000 more because I asked for black silicon. So yes, it is more expensive...:). hahaha

I like it, cos it gives a kind of framed view of the fish.

Just an update...the update is I have no update :(.

Since the tank was delivered, I hurt my back, was busy at work and now have taken on a huge project at church.

I sit everyday and stare at an empty 400L tank with shrink wrap. Lol. Its frustrating. I cant wait to start on it, come September.

Sho, sorry to hear that it’s a serious issue with your back. Luckily Doesn’t sound as if you’re in chronic pain right now? Do you have someone to help with heavy lifting eg buckets of water?

Yes this project will be great once things have settled down. Looking forward to following

The pain, went away away when i rested. Just that they say the damage cant be reversed but i can manage it. Only if over exert myself, it tends to be a problem. And Im quite the active 36 year old, so Im just learning to change in my lifestyle a little. Trying to avoid the whole surgery thing, but lets see, Im postive

I tend to work with smaller buckets etc, I just have to be careful :)

Picked up some Driftwood today. So will be starting the process of filling with PFS and water tomorrow.

Still not sure of my approach with the driftwood, if I will be soaking it first ( I dnt have a big enough tub). Or just out it in the tank tmrw and do some water changes for the next couple of weeks. I know I will be buying some purigen.

For now I just gave a it a hot water shower and left to dry. The guy said it's Nambian wood,,, I honestly don't know . But it was from a LFS. Geez why is driftwood like gold.

I think I paid too much but I wanted it and was not in the mood to negotiate,,, long day, and wife was getting impatient with me.

So what u guys think,, anyone used driftwood, without pre soak?
