I stripped this tank completly and redid it with ADA Aquasoil 2 weeks ago:











Now to wait while everything fills out. Must say this aquasoil is amazing stuff.

Thanks guys, I added some reflectors and increased the BIO-CARBON dosage. The stems are definately growing faster now.

 

Beautiful tank! Like the non CO2 setup.

@boebie, Your tank is looking awesome. I have to agree with you on the ADA being awesome. The growth in mine in just over a month has been momentus and I've only dosed full ferts twice with about a 40-45% water change.

What plants do you currently have in the cube? When you next do any trimming, please keep me in mind. I love the grass carpet, it really has grown in well.

 

@Skye01 thank you. To be honest it will be a while until I do a trim. The whole back has to still grow in. I will keep you in mind though.

I wont mind sending some plants to you when trim time comes, but there are loads of guys closer to you that have the same or better selection of plants.

 

Apologies for the crappy cell pics.
I increased the lighting - now running 2x 15 Growluxes and a big 85w 6500k cfl in a stainless steel fitting with a parabolic reflector. The extra lighting has made a huge difference to the plant growth. The stems are growing great now.
Also changed the fish to 10x Galaxy rasboras and 10x Emerald Dwarf rasboras and 1x SAE. The Galaxies and the Emeralds are displaying spawning behavior, doing their little dances.
Still no pressurised co2.

 

WOW, a tru inspiration. I just got a 60l cube, and yours has inspired my to go planted. Gr8 work, awesome scape.

 

@boebie - beautiful tank you have there. I am very new to planted tanks - please tell me what is that grass in the very front?
