    This eagle looked so out of place, huge claws trying to walk on roof tiles. Big bird trying to navigate a small gutter opening. Totally amazed how nature creeping up on suburban

    Yeah saw a serie about a snakecatcher in SA. A lotmof Black Mambas also hunting for rats. brrrrrrrrrr

    Where people are are rats and where rats are hunt other predators.

    That's sooooo pretty!! Who would've thought fungus and flowers could be included in the same compliment?

    Lovely Oxalis! Probably O. purperea and O. obtusa
    I see them everywhere since working at the Stellenbosch bot garden where some are kept in conservation.

    The son is growing the normal yellow ones and a pink one. I really like the apricot coloured one too!

    these are his indoor sowing projects. A compulsive planter like his mother it seems :lol:

    I often find sunflowers, peas etc ‘miraculously’ sprouting in my other pot plants too, he sifts through the hamster food to see what will grow. And stuff grows for him, mind you.

    outdoors a ton of other pots too with seeds sprouting (including dietis grandiflora he’s harvested, yellow wood saplings) and now branched out into cuttings etc. At least it helps keeping him busy.

    @A new day

    That’s fantastic.
    Looks like your son has developed an interest in botany at an early age

    How are the carnivorous plants doing?

    Sable is my “Holy Grail” in Kruger.
    Seen them once many years ago. But despite searching for them in recent years, haven’t been lucky enough to spot them.:(

    Went last year to Dikhololo and we saw a small herd there that they just recently brought in. That was super exciting and also my first time ever seeing one
