    Just got back from some field work in Limpopo. The one night I decided to go see what critters I could find outside our rooms, and I found some night roosting bats! My supervisor helped me get some photos and ID. Egyptian slit-faced bat - Nycteris thebaica

    I'm doing my masters in Wildlife Management at TUKS. I'm doing a study on bat species richness in the Waterberg Biosphere and how different land uses affect species distribution

    I'm sure most people freak at that due to the damage they do to gardens, but I still think they're pretty cool. And I'm sure your local birds must love the buffet

    I grow a lot of Hostas which slugs and snails absolutely destroy. :mad:
    So I have to admit, I am quite trigger happy with the pellets

    Went on another week trip to catch some bats, and we stayed at a reserve called SwebeSwebe and did some sight seeing in the day time
