    Do you go to Marievale often?
    I used to go now and then when I lived in Jhb.
    Was also a regular at Rondebult. Do you ever go birding there ??

    Hahaha I agree! :lol:

    This was actually the first time I've been in years. Last time I went I was much younger, not as interested in birds and thoroughly bored :lol:

    I haven't been to rondebult in even longer. Apparently it's not the safest place for a woman on her own so I just haven't tried it lately

    Melrose bird sanctuary was just down the road from where I used to live. So I used to go there almost every weekend.
    Used to go to Victory Park b s quite often too.
    Rondebult was a bit further, but tried to get there once a month or so.
    And then Marievale was quite a bit further, so went as and when I could.

    I was also a member of the Witwatersrand bird club, and used to go to their monthly meetings and talks.
    Met Kenneth Newman a few times. Very knowledgeable and fantastic speaker

    And then I was also involved with a crowd that did bird ringing at Melville Koppies.
    But didn't get to do that too often
