Try covering front and sides with paper.so they can't see out. Give them peace of mind

Have you tried using a plastic mesh to put over your cone, I have seen some breeders using it

I don't think it's necessary. I looks like the male isn't fertile yet. They only eat it when the eggs are all dead. I've had them keep the eggs for 3 days before but without anything hatching. The sides are covered. If I see them vreeting live eggs I'll cover them.

Could it be that my water is too hard? I swore I saw eyes not this time but the previous spawn and after 2 days they died. I use tap water aged for 24 hours.

I have also seen discus breeder painting the bottom of the tank, their reasoning is the fish become more aware of everything around them and when startled can cause issue's. I am also inclined to agree with previous comments that they may still be young.

They don't seem bothered at all. They come to the front every time I walk past the tank, also when I look at them they come forward and look back at me. They don't even want to move out of the way when I'm cleaning, I have to shove them out of the way sometimes.

They laid a new batch late last night, no white eggs this morning. Will take a pic tonight. They started shaking just before the daily clean up so I saw it coming, cleaned and wiped down everything just to make sure the tank is nice and clean.

Hi BoelderBeestie they eat the eggs but just found out maybe our water might be too hard for the eggs, are you using RO water? I will give it a try next water change and see if it makes a difference

No just aged tap. Let's see if the RO makes a difference.
