@Tetra, your tank looks realy nice, all your plants look so healthy and green. What is your setup if I may ask? Lights, ferts, co2?

Very nice looking tank! Co2 is definitely something to consider, I was apprehensive at first but went in head first and am very pleased that I did, the plant growth is incredible.

In terms of ideas, perhaps some lower clumpy plants as well as some red plants if you can find them (iron is great for red plants). That might just add a bit of a different perspective on the tank, but all in all it is looking great!

Hello Tetra. That HM is starting to take nicely.
And yes. C02 will become a must. You bee amassed by the difference in the growth rate.

    My tank setup:

    120 liters.
Light: T5 with a AquaWhite and 4000k Tube. They on for 9 hours a day.
Temp: It was 28 Degrees but have dropped it to 26 degrees now. The Ludwigia grows slower but the moss and Java ferns intent to grow quicker now.
CO2 from 2kg canister with solenoid on same timer as the lights. With a bubble per second rate. My CO2 indicator is light green to a avo green colour.
    Make use of Seachem fertilzers
    * Tabblets every 3 months
    * Seachem Flourish Excel, Flourish, Potassium, Nitrogen, Phosphorus. twice a week.

    Water chance every second week.

Thank you for all the compliments on my tank.

I got hold of a red plant and more Rotala's on Sunday. Will post a pic again by the weekend.

I'm maybe planning on grouping my HM for a middle tank plant and covering the front with Glosso or Staurogyne Repens, but ive heard that the Repens is a slow grower where the glosso is easier and quicker to grow.

Keep the thread up to date with a picture again the weekend.

Sorry for the upside down pic just my ipad will know why it post it upside down. Everything is taking shape now. The Caradamine is growing fast almost need to trim it twice a week not to shadow over the bottom plants, java fern start to show new growth again and the top growth of my Hygrophilla shows it's submersed growth. I'm planning to cut the submersed stem and removing the emerged leaves of the Hygrophila or will the emerged leaves fall off with time and change to submerged leaves?

Ive planted plants with red leaves to give abit of colour but they only starting to grow now. Hopefully in 2 weeks time they would start to make an impression.

    wow,
    great looking tank,
    very pleasing on the eye.

the fish look happy, showing lots of colour.

the addition of the red plant is awesome, wish i could see more of the wood though, maybe let it be diagonal from the back right corner to just off centre in the mid foreground, just a suggestion.

great job! i love it! .....:five:

An update on my tank again. If cleared out all my Hygrophila 2 weeks ago to get some light at the bottom again and seems to be working for the bottom plants a specially the star grass they all green again. I've moved all my Rotala's to the back and java fern seems to have recovered and blooming again the Amazon I need to trim constantly but otherwise all going good.

the plant in the front with the red greenish leaves is busy to shoot new plants out along its root tips. Everywhere there is small ones coming out between the gravel. My discus seems to be happy and the black bars seems to be less since I've upped the temp to 30 degrees.

    Ciao

Those higros can grow like weeds. How are the plants doing after upping the temp?

All plants still looking good. I've actually seen a better growth in the Star grass and Rotala's but I've changed the globes as well and took out the higros that where over growing everything but that can be that they receive more light. But otherwise all shows a positive growth and it's been I think a month I've up the temp.

im getting a 700 liter tank soon so the Discus is going to luv the bigger size.
