I know what you mean about always wanting to syphon the waste out but I control myself knowing I will do in the evening lol

It definitely is a lot of work but I consider it my 'me' time and find it quite therapeutic myself.

I am determined to find a way to hide the overflow box, will let you know if I manage to get it right

I decided to add a little silica sand substrate and the wood is now water logged so after soaking it in the bath for a long time I have put it in the tank now as well as added the RT's from Jason, here is an updated pic
