ff I went to Plantland with only R150 and this is what i came back with (the people who work there are kinda useless so I just helped myself)

I bought 2 small buckets with Selaginella Yellow in them. My hope is that it will cover the ground (one day)

2 Small buckets with Hypoestes in them. I planted them at the back since i thing they grow to a nice height.

1 Bucket with green Ivy (the creeper for the "boom varing")

1 Bucket peace at home plant (how should pot this if i want to use it like i would in a terrarium)

and I had R16 left so i bought 2 ionantha fuego air plants (I liked Zoom's (I think) thread on air plants). I just need to decide if they are going on the "Varing" or the fountain . I'm Soaking them overnight so they will look great.

All the pics are of the actual plants I bought

I also raided our Garden for plants to put around the pond. After the weekend I will replace those that's there now with ophiopogan japonicus so that it will look shorter/tidy.

I also stole this from our garden but i have no idea what it is.

And here is the end result. now they just have to grow.

Looks great! The one you raided is a perennial begonia. now, just get rid of those dead stalks on the tree ferns... cut off close to stem, the ferns don't need them for anything.

I probably wouldn't be able to get you a job as a photographer... but if you had a bakkie, a pc, a phone and a laptop I could put you onto one of my building sites as a site agent... Then you can come work at my house on weekends...

If for some reason Photography did not work out (and at the moment finding a proper agency/studio job isn't) I would have loved to go study again and become a Building contractor or landscaper. I've always had plans of building my own little Village/Estate then selling and renting out the units.

Next I will probably get those Corny solar powered LED garden Lamps (Provided there is enough sunlight to charge the Battery)

I also have Huge plans for when I get my own place. I want to get my hands on those huge wine barrels, Cut them in halve and waterproof them. Could make a nice walkway pond.

And adding some pearl of the pool lilies
    pearlofthepool1.jpg
    or
    Gonnére lillies
    gonnere-nackros-vit.jpg
    or Cape Blue water lillies

And always Guppies. I'm not really a Koi fan ( and i would want a huge pond for the koi)

Went out early this morning and saw my fountain was not working. Then my worsie went to drink water and jumped up hehe shame. I stuck my toe in the water and got a small shock. Seems the pump failed for some reason (was an old one). Luckily I have a few Pumps left over from my mts days. Working again :noworry:

Sorry I've been so Busy lately. I will update soon. But it still looks kinda the same except my husky ripped out half of the plants hehe. And yes the fish are still alive and well and already have fry.

Franna, you have to understand, your Husky did not 'rip' all your plants out of the pond. As is true to husky nature, they actually believe that helping you to relocate them is a good thing...
