Dude canisters are built to work hard. You just need to supply it with your media and let it run, it does it's own thing.

Obviously you need to check that all is working nicely on it and when you see that your flow gets weak then you obviously need to clean the sponges in removed TANK water or time to replace the filter floss.

hehe, the flow looks good (i hope) spray bar wet me outside the tank when the water line is under it. i timed it with a 2l jug, i think i counted wrong, in 19 seconds the jug is full, but like i said i think i counted wrong, will do it again with stopwatch:nuts: for interest sake

My problem is that i worry to much about simple things that others would not even think of. i hate it you guys/girls should see me sometimes when i get paranoid about things(ask barry)

Sweet yes this is a nice site, they good some good info on the forums regarding all fishy and plant things.

You can try Richard from BetterWeather he is a member on apsa.

He has a nice variety of plants, most lfs dont have nice variety.

You could also go to Dorry pets, I know they got a lekker shipment of plants during the week.

Most hygrophila species are fast growers, here is a few hygro polysperma, hygro corymbosa "Angustifolia" and Hygro corymbosa "Siamensis"

I got all these plants in my tanks and they really FAST growers

    As Hviviers said.
    Most hygrophila*are grate.
But my all time favorite plants are Anubias.
If you try to kill Anubias you will fail.
And (I got some my self today) Java fern is also grate.
But Anubias and Java fern are slow growers so you need fast growers to keep algae growth down.
Both don't need high light, and they actually like low light.

I will give you a grate Anubias site,(I just need to find the link)

If your ammonia is still high do another WC the next day.

Start feeding only once a day. And you can stop feeding your fish for a few days. It will help keep the bio load low. A hungry fish is a healthy fish quoted by one of the TASA members:D You can do daily 10-15% wc till all is fine in your tank

No it does not penetrate deeper it is just different color rating in the tubes.
