a word of caution, a mate of mine owns a LFS in Roodepoort, and they had a pair spawn in one of the tanks, they noticed that the other fish (Convicts and Clown Loaches) are always in the furthest corner. Next morning, all the fish are dead, except the Breeding pair. I’m not saying that all Convicts are the same, but it’s good to know.

Maybe someone on TASA that got them to Breed, (with other fish in the tank with them) might be able to confirm?

Don't believe that the convicts will be able to touch the dollars and the tinfoils, had all of them before and had no problems, they are too fast for the convicts. @Shiroo don't worry too much about it, just keep a eye on the parrots as the convicts will challange them and maybe nip their fins here and there. But other than that don't worry. My dad bred and kept convicts in his community tank and he had no casualties. The convicts will only be terotorial arround the nest and only where the young are.

Interesting tank, I think they're actually intended for jellyfish.
How is the flow in the tank working? I'm guessing you're making a bit of a whirlpool effect?

Nice tank, on the convicts, they don't call them convicts for nothing, similar charactaristics, very terrotorial and by times very aggresive, inmates are always pulling on the shorter end from my experience and they can multiply very easily and very quickly. When I were a bit younger than now, good couple of years back, eish, the lfs did not even want to buy the fry or take them from your hands for free, don't know about it now a days.

    I beg to differ :)

Although I won't really call it a planted tank, as there was no scaping or design involved.

Just plants left to grow bos.
