Since I have started following your advice feeding all the vegies to the bristlenoses, its amazing how many other fish go and eat the vegies too

Animals/fish can be funny sometimes... as you say, just like naughty kids
My parents stay in a cottage on my property and they have a little Jack Russel
Now he wont eat what my parents feed him (unless its lekker goodies) and comes running to me so he can eat what my dogs are eating which.. is exactly the same food!!

These are my plecos eating their dinner last night. A healthy portion of peeled raw baby marrow, they go nuts for it.[IMG]

I should send you some tulipbulbs Maria!

Pic is one of the lowest places in Holland. More than 6 metres under sealevel.

It is taken from the dike protecting the land from the IJsselmeerlake (That was an open sea-arm earlier (Zuiderzee) but closed by De Afsluitdijk after disastrous floodings). [IMG]

    Ahhhh the bulbs!!

You have been very kind posting all these wonderful pictures... would never expect you to send the bulbs too

Its just so beautiful, its like every picture of the Countryside has a stream or little river and of course the windmill!!

Love those Venezuelans, one of my favourite
And the panda babies and pepper corries

The streams / rivers are canals / ditches used to pump water out of there (when it is to wet) or let water from the IJsselmeer flow in when there is a shortage .
We are quite lucky to live just besides that sweetwater bassin. I live in the left part (yellow). In the middle you see the IJsselmeer / Markermeer that provides us with water mainly from River Rhine.
In case of highwater they let it run through the Afsluitdijk (thin line in the North) into the Noordzee (Waddenzee). [IMG]

Hahhhaa you would think they never get fed!

Rays are the same, anyone watching feeding time will think I starve them
