Dropped some dried oakleaves in. Not all sank to the bottom !!! The big sword has had a difficult time (holes in the leaves). Think it will recover nicely now !!

Amazing tanks there DoubleDutch ,this is the second time I've read this post start to finish just have to love all those cories!

I have a few - Sterbai, Bronze, Julie, Peppered, Panda and some albino.
Basically every tank has some- Just cant help myself!

What ferts / soil do you use for the plants?

Thanks. Ahhhh you've got Coryditis as well hahaha. I never use any soil (plain filter pool sand). Ferts = easylife profito and adding nitrates / phosfates if needed (long time ago hahaha). I don't use CO2 or Liquid carbon.

BTW : your Julii probably are Trilineatus !!!
Somewhere hidden in te other tank must be 7 Concolors. After the Paleatus moved house, adding 5 Sterbai (from a friend) in that tank . Very worse case of Coryditis overhere and no treatment / cure available.

I am busy setting up my first 200 liter planted (low tech) and I am thinking lots of corys with a nice fine sand substrate and some tetras or maybee danios?

Ahhh that's great. All my tanks are in fact low tech !!! When they are stabilized maintenance is low too hahaha. Thinking about ditherfish, but would like to keep it South American !!!
Only having 3 asian fishes (2 Kuhlis and 1 Borapetensis = survivor of a school I once had). Wished Kuhlis originated from South America hahaha. They are nice fishies as wel hahaha.
My bulldog-plec "Sophia Loren" will join the Corys.[IMG][IMG]

Yes kuhlis are great - I have a fondness for loaches too, got a mixed school of about 18 in another tank, don't see them much..but at feeding time it's crazy!

Funny enough I got a bulldog pleco yesterday a green striped L187b I think. very nice too also for the planted / cory tank. Will see if i can get some pics tonight.
