The freight was organized by ADA. I will definitely use a different freighting company on the next shipment. I have been recommended a different company on the next import. Thanks for the reply.

I would suggest a large company like DHL Global Forwarding (can give you a contact), Kunenagel (spelling?), Safcor Panalpina etc.

Like i said they went with the cheapest option and that was to trans-ship via Sing. Trans-shipped freight has the lowest priority when a vessel is full or sometimes they just forget to collect the cargo at the transshipping point.

Thanks, I appreciate that, although I wouldn't touch DHL with a 10ft barge pole. I have a friend who owns a freighting company, but they don't deal with seafreight unfortunately. I'll check out the other companies and have a look at what they can offer. This was the first order, and it is just a teething phase. I'm sure the next orders will go much smoother. Thanks for the advice though. Like I said, I've never done this before, but we all live and learn hey?

Sure no problem - DHL Global Forwarding is REALLY good out of Asia and they have global infrastructure to back them up. I would avoid one of the smaller Micky Mouse guys....

Good luck with the next shipment. Let me know if you need help with any of the customs stuff.

Firstly, the freight company got their ships wrong. The actual Ship landed last week sunday. Secondly, that was on the back of a truck, not a container. They had already delivered some stuff. Mine was almost last.

I'll get some snap shots of the actual stuff soon... I've been working on my cube. Nearly electrocuting myself, and flooding my house... Not a fun evening, let me tell you.

It is the first shipment of ADA - Aqua Design Amano products in South Africa. They pretty much invented planted fish tanks.

There is plenty of stock left! I ordered quite a lot. The Aquasoil was the only thing people took for pre orders.
