Looking for pictures and info for the TASA fish database

This is some of my fish. Will do the malawi species when I have a chance

 

Ok people. We need photos of Guppies. I mean come on... How can we not have any photos of guppies people...

And we need photos of goldfish...

And Rummy nose tetras, black widows and silver tip tetras....

As far as i know EVERY PET STORE would have these... And even people that don't know about TASA (Don't know how that happens...) are keeping these... And yet we don't have photos for the site...

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

now you... yes you sitting behind the PC take your camera and take at least a single photo of your fish and post it.

PS: I only own goldfish of these species but they are asleep and i don't want to wake them up now for a photo... But i will take some photos tomorrow and then i WILL post them and of all the other cool fishes i have...

 

@BugMan LOL love the post. I actually have Rummynoses and Silvertips and Guppies... Photos aswell, Just ran out of internet cap... Wil post them from sunday sometime

P.S. the leopard danio I posted is named wrong... will fix it. Should be Brachydanio Frankei and the Labeo Bicolor is also wrong. (old name) will fix it aswell

 

I'm really excited about the MyAquarium... I check EVERY DAY for new photos and information... it is happening really slowly but it is happening... Those photos will be appreciated GREATLY!!! Thank you @Double-D

 

Dude, have u ever tried to photograph a guppie with a normal persons camera?

I don't know, posted some pics on gouramis and high back head stander as well. Think @EnvironmentalBro is just caught up in some other stuff.

 

Can go get some more pictures now, especially of goldies. Let's see if I can get any decent pictures without enormous platannas in the background XD

Hi Guys, I have been away for 2 weeks, got back this morning. I have already uploaded the pics but havn't created the fish profiles yet.

I said to @Rory that I would only do a few profiles to help out as I am just a member like you guys We really need other people to also add profiles aswell, I don't have that much time!

I would still like to encourage people to continue posting their pics because they will eventually be put on the database.

i would also like to know how do you edit or add information to an existing fish profile, as i cant seem to do this.

 

@mydummyname Rory can make you an editor if you ask nicely. Anyone can upload pics onto the database which an editor can assign to a fish profile.

 

ok i'm not sure if i want to become an editor, but perhaps we could submit a .txt document which the admins can check to see if the info on it is valid to add to a profile or something like that?

 

Sounds good to me but the admins don't edit the database as far as I know... You would have to email the editors but I seem to be the only one :hmm:
