    Looking good Linxie!

What do you have as a background?
What about some dwarf hair grass as a foreground plants?

    Thanks Vis,
I'd really like that. Henk has offered some cuttings, so once I get those I'll let you know :)

    OK time for another update.

The rocks were bothering me, so I removed them completely.
The DIY CO2 wasn't working for me either so I removed that too.
Changed some plants around for a stronger scape (I hope) lol

and this is what it looks like now. A bit murky, I know. Doing water changes to clear that up.

    Inhabitants:
    5 cardinals
5 rummy noses (who have white spot... eish)
    3 danios
1 female guppy who managed to hide from us and now has 6 babies. (double eish)
8 Kuhli loaches, 3 of which I'm 99% certain are female. And one is full of eggs.

    The one full of eggs.

The kuhli's enjoying their own space. They love swimming through the LB and resting in between the blades of grass.

Because of the white spot on the rummies, I've increased the tank temp hoping to end their life cycle (the parasite) quickly. I cannot add meds to the tank because of the kuhli's and other inhabitants. I'm going to move them to the quarantine tank (which I should have done so in the beginning) this evening after they've fallen asleep or when they're eating.

Oh, the gourami is now in his own tank. He gets waaay to aggressive with the other fish and stresses them out by chasing them around. I shall name him Grumpy :D

Simon, the siamese, is back in his old tank again. I finished the rescape, now I'm just waiting for it all to grow in. He'll be receiving his 3 girlfriends the end of this month.

You know what really sucks, but is great at the same time.
We're moving the end of August, so I'm going to need to take all these tanks down, on the plus side, I get to redo them with a nicer substrate. As much as I love the sand, and pfp, I want to try a different method this time around. Also, if the place is big enough, that means more tanks :D

That's it me thinks. Enjoy :)

Thanks to those who helped with the white spot suggestions. I really appreciate it.

You going to laugh at me now linxie...

When I first saw the pic, I didn't like the bare middle... but after looking at it for some time, I kinda pictured the LB growing throughout the open "plain" and made me giggle... the first thing that went through my mind... "My wife will love this tank... she can just picture Edward and Bella sitting in that plain with the forest all around them."

Nice set up. Will be sat to see this taken down. But a re-scape is always fun!

HAHAHA that is funny though. Dude, don't tempt me to get a Bella and Edward doll... I've been known to do strange things :D

Thanks, yeah it's going to be sad as I really would have liked to see the LB all grown in, but then like you say, re-scaping is great fun! Specially when you have no fish in the tank to upset.

Yeah it's sad about those inverts... and we can't even talk about them.

Go make a nice little intro thread with what you're planning, and I'm very sure alot of people will welcome you and give you ideas ^^,

    Some good news and bad.
We're not moving (that's the bad news) so my tanks will get a chance to grow out properly (that's the good news) ^^,

I'm happy about this as I've been stressing for weeks, thinking how I'm going to do this. Now I don't have to worry about it for another year. LOL

Today is day 4 of the blackout (I didn't do it properly the last time) so I'll be removing the towels tonight, and doing a big water change.

    Please excuse the mess:

So what did you do while the towel was hanging over the TV for 4 days? :)

Life just isn't the same with a tank covered in a towel. Feels like a part of you is missing!

This thread has been merged with another of Linxie's threads (as per her request) as both threads were related to the same tank.
