45 degree angle would not be that difficult.

 

The Tank will be build with 12mm Glass.

I understand that it will only take one weakspot, but that's why it will be tested thoroughly with different pressures and pressure changes. After the tank is finished there will be a month that it will run for a test. To use a thicker panel in the middle can be done. Like I said, the guy that will be building the tank has 17 years experience in building tanks, so I believe that he will know what to do.

Okay, let me try to explain.

The way you see the tank/bar counter in the picture above will be the back of my tank but it will have a corner of 90 degrees. The back sides will only be two panels of 1500mm.

If you see the barcounter from the other side, you will see how my tank will look from the front.

I hope that makes sense.

the idea, but just smaller.

I don't think it's mission impossible. I would rather see it as a challenge.

Calculations are fun and if all comes together it's worth the struggle.

I think that if you brace it properly it will actually be easy.

Oh yes. For sure. I'll send you photos. That will be much later though. Probably in October or November. There is a lot of other things that I must attend to first.

Agree with lappies more than possible, just draw and redraw and if you can in a 3d program so you can have bracing and uprights for sump tank in the right place
any thing can be build if you have the money and time and imagination

Imagination is not a problem. My wife is an artist. She likes abstract and unique things. my imagination is quite "fertile" aswell so between the two of us I think that that part is sorted. There is always time, but it goes by so quickly. Money is the only "hold-up" that slows progress and make you wince if you hear what it's going to cost but it's all worth it if it works out.

Tankmaster, I can see some optimism there. It'll work buddy, you'll see.

With Autocad on the cpu at home and the builder of the tank's eye, it will all work out perfect.

 

When you can put up some pics from autocad, include stand and sump designs. You might over look something

Donny, I will do what I can to upload the planning so that you guys can see what I'm up to. I don't use sump tanks, but the builder can probably include that in his design.

The stand will be made from 75mm square tubing. I preffer it because my friend fits kitchen cupboards and he will make it a cabinet for me. His work is really good.

Tankmaster. I'm not sure what silicone the builder uses but I'll ask him to use Den Braven. Thank you for the tip.

 

Lappies with a tank volume of a 1100lt a sump tank might be better than power heads and would be neater and it will be in the cupboard.
You will get more filtration from a sump.
