Just want to know if this wood is fine to be used in my TANK

    if you dont have a big pot just put it in the tub with hot water.

    Good idea dude this will be the old method of our parents days.

    I will just have to see if I can find a nice big pot dude, nice potjie pot:idea:

    I stuck my pieces in a bucket and every morning and night, drained it and filled up again. Seemed to work ok...

    Did you throw boiling water into the bucket dude? and for how long?

    yes it would be fine i didnt even use boiling water i just bliksemd it with a presure hose. scrubbed it and let it soak in the pool for a month.

    Thats what I used(geyser water), which might account for why it took so long to leach. I was concerned that boiling water would make the wood soft!

    doesnt make the wood soft if you use hard wood. :)

    Did you soak it in a bucket of water with some prime to get rid of all the chlorine in the wood after soaking it in the pool?

    uses salt in the pool no chlorine. just treat it afterwords if you are scared of chemicals. but mine was fine.

    okay cool I use a chlorine floater. Might float it in the pool for a couple of weeks.
