Just a quick update. All seems to be well. Returned the sick fish to the main tank and she seemes to be happy to be home. A couple of hours later, she spawned. Seven babies. Mother and babies all doing well. Kamikazes all happy and healthy. Looks like the crisis is over. Thanx guys, for all your help and advice.
