If you want to cycle a tank fast... Get Microbelift special blend. Works better than anything else I've tried.

My tank needed to recycle completely recently from scratch... fully stocked!! (Power failure for 16 hours made sure my bacteria was DEAD! )
Used Special Blend, didn't have a single ammonia or nitrite spike. On previous occasions when I've had a 4 hour power failure, an ammonia and nitrite spike usually occured... this time.. NOTHING!

    In my pants.
I have been lucky with my cardinals so far they were the first fish in my jebo and out of the 12 I bought 11 survived.

I have lost a few neons but have 6 that stuck around.

On the other hand I bought 12 rummynoses some time back, did not loose one and they are now almost all 4-5cm big with bright red noses.
They also school better then any other of my tetras.

Its even worse now Ashley. The road between Standerton and Ermelo have been closed because it was undriveble and have to ripped apart. The N17 out of here is also being ripped appart and stop and go is the norm. Do not even attempt the road between Leandra and Standerton.
