you have serious control over your MTS lol

my wife and i have come down from 3 tanks to 2.

    space is an issue lol

why is it that we can keep 1 dog ore 1 cat but one fish is never enough??

*Larch is the exception to that rule ;)

IMO we get emotionally attached to dogs or cats. Fish don't have the characteristics that they have. Loosing a fish is also much cheaper, easy to replace and easy to dispose of after death (Toilet)

i'm not so sure hehe i get pretty attached to my fish, maybe coz they so responsive... they follow you around when you walk past the tank and nuzzle your fingers and hands when youre doing gravel vacuuming etc... they know you! lol

also, some of the fish we see at lfs are pretty expensive! you can get a kitten for free most of the time, but go and buy an 18cm clown loach?? i think i've seen some large one's go for R300, and dont talk about marine fish lol 1 yellow tang - R900!!

excuse the slight hijack by the way!

Lol people are all different. I can't get attached to something i can't play with, cuddle with or take for walks. Fish to me is a peacefull hobby i do part time (Meaning when im not a work or....pretty much it)

Yes having exspensive fish can grow an attachment. You will insure it gets care for correctly and receives love (Treats). So yes one can become attached to a fish, to a degree. But like i said "People are ALL different":blink1:

    Me too:p

Won't be continuing on this OT subject

Ahaha it is called moderation I would love to get more tanks, but that means I need to do more work and divide my attention between them and spend hours and hours maintaining them and less time admiring them and when you get to that point it is not a hobby anymore but a 2nd job. Something I would like to avoid.
