dont feel too badly about it, the reason why i felt it pointed so strongly to this being the cause is that the same thing happened to me, i made the very same mistakes as you, but luckily i got home after work, found one floating and removed him and did an immediate water change, i love the dwarf gouramis but made the mistake of adding 2 males, and so i lost one after a while. .. the thing is, they are such beautiful fish that one is easily tempted to put more than one male in a tank and most times (not all), it doesnt work out.

its just not cool to learn the hard way coz we love our fishies and dont like to see them die :(

especially these little dwarfs they are such pretty fish , but the one i have now is happy at least , i got some floating plants for him and hes running his tank :) with his 4 cory underlings and maybe one day some tetras. but think itll be some time before i approach algae eaters again...

yep, there's a lot you can do with a 60L tank, take your time and plan your fish carefully and you will succeed :)

Without asking exact question and getting all the relevant information in the answers one can only speculate as to what might have gone worng.

    hi..

sorry to hear about your fish.. its always kak when that happens
i have a cleaner that works overtime and only cost me 10 bux. cleaner.jpg
have no idea what its called tho. if anyone can identify it. its a must buy for every tank.
i will add it to the ID thread.

i did a 50% water change and additional 5 litre change on a daily basis for a week. and my fish are very happy now

    good luck

I know when I had tanks many years ago I also had a golden Chinese algae eater, I got rid of it cause it harassed all my other fishes. Best algae eater out there is the ancistrus they only grow to about 7 -10 cm and they also do their job very well.

haha you just had to put it like that did you!!

@hviviers75, i love ancistrus, also true siamese algae eaters are a real benefit to a tank, and have great character as well :)
