   That's too long. My lights are on from 12h30 to 20h00. That's 7.5 Hours.
   
   Anything more than 10 hours IMO will cause algae blooms. There is very VERY few NATURAL areas in the wild that gets direct, full spectrum sun for more than 6 hours a day.... In the morning and in the afternoon/evening MOST of the sun's effect is lost due to the water dispersing or reflecting the sunlight.
