Guys, I have 5 x complete kits. I am ordering more bottles, but the price has gone up due to them changing the way they make the bottles. So after the initial 5 are sold, they will be R100 more for the complete kit.

Hi SeanI am running a approx 600l planted Discus tank with nothing hi tech as yet. Would one of the complete kits be a good start? I am running 4*40 T8s for 12-14 hours per day; which will have to be changd to T5's in the near future. If the complete kit will be a good start, what else accessories will I require to get things going right? - please send the prices as well. RegardsBreado

@Breado - this kit will be pretty good for any system. The issue with a system your size is getting the co2 to dissolve without wasting any. The best way to do this is to use a Co2 reactor. I do not have any, but I am looking at a supply of them. Just trying to find a good supplier.

Other than the reactor, all you will need is tubing and a bubble counter. Once again, trying to find some good budget ones.

So ja, it would be a pretty good system for any tank.

Sean, have your silicon washers arrived yet. Im going insane with this %$#&$% reefoctypus regulator. Ive now gone through 4 CO 2 bottles in under 6 weeks. I cannot find the leak anywhere. Im probably gonna strip it and reseal all the threads.

Cant say im impresed with this regulator at all, and would not advise it to anyone. Considering the price I paid for it, I shoulda saved money and gone SAGA or spent a little more and gone milkwaukee. Now I wish I hadnt bought anything, and gotten from you.

 

Just saw the G-024-S - How efficient is this diffuser and how does it work?
I'm asking because from the pic, I've no idea what it connects to and whether I can use it with a DIY setup or not.

I had a good look at them in Sean's tank yesterday ... wow .. nice fine bubbles even on low bpm ... probably the best mist stream I have seen from a ceramic diffuser.

hmmm pressure might be to low for a DIY ...

 

I actaully wanted to order one of these with my reg but thought I should rather go with a normal diffuser since I haven't seen or heard about these before.

I remember the one pic with it in action and thought it might be photoshopped.

Will get one next time I look at diffusers.
