As DC said I think spirulina would be grate to fill there veggie needs. If you can't find nutrafin, you can get tetra pleco wafers.

 

cool! i do have tetra pleco wafers for my 2 hifin pleco and my vieja also loves it, my jag not that much lol!
and i dont want 2 take a risk with live food! my vieja and jag r my pride and joy!!

 

If you could raise swordtails your self they would be grate feeders.

Your vieja and jag are beautiful.

 

doubted that the jag would, he is a predator
avoid live food at all cost they will eat nothing else especially the jag

 

Convict fry can also serve as feeders,they are easy to breed.A bit hard to separate from their parents though (they like bitting and ramming your hand when they are protecting their fry)

thanks nicolaas i try my best!! only been in the hobby from last year november (2012) so still learning a lot

just added a lose bulb on top of the glass, just for now helps a bit
