Gio's Planted tank journey

    Tetras come in many sizes (and in some cases different shapes too), so it depends on the type you get as to how many look good together. Ember tetras are really small, but if you went for something like Columbian tetras or Congo tetras they get quite large (for a tetra). So you would need fewer but would still get a stunning display.

    Sorry if my lazy shorthand caused confusion - I'm going with Ember tetra, assuming @PappaBear is considering the same? Fortunately they seem to be a bit less costly per fish, so amassing a school is slightly less daunting.

    I am leaning towards rummy nose pristella and cardinals. Or 2 of those 3

    Well you know what they say about assumptions. :lol:. I'm a big fan of rummy nose and pristella, nice choice!

    IMG_20220320_094802.jpg Found a few fry swimming at the top of the tank this morning (taking shelter in some overgrown stem plants) thinking they may belong to my platinum halfbeak? Other option is the lampeyes. I don't have the option of moving them to another tank. So will have to see if they can fend for themselves
