getting rid of snails

if u have plants, they will die too

 

take them out by hand, it is the most effective and fastest way to kill them. I catch a few every morning and every night.

 

I had a problem with excessive numbers of snails (mainly tiny ones, as they were obviously breeding in large numbers) about six months ago. I asked the advice of my LFS who then sold me two 'assasin snails' for a combined price of 5 pounds. These are Striped and eat the smaller snails. Over the next couple of months they wiped out the snail population, and have kept them away ever since. Not a quick cure, but one that certainly works. My only question about them is, if there are no snails for them to eat anymore, what exactly are they now eating to survive? My plants no doubt!! :-(
