Yeah - did not get all of them - probably for exactly the reason you described @pierreschoonraad ..

Does make for good cover for some plants..

Leaving some room to still grow in ...

No WC - but I did wipe down the outside of the front glass.

Thanks all ... very pleased with the low touch over the last few weeks ... did add 1 plant - not 100% sure what it is - does not look like hair grass to me, but ja.

It is growing in very fast at the moment ... must be the extra heat - stopped the CO2 bell thing a few weeks back so can not still be that.

For now I like looking at the tank from this angle the most ...

Not that I sit on this side of the tank ;-(

Looks really awesome @f-fish, what is that foreground cover plant? Is it something you have to trim all time to keep it that low or does it grow like that ?

Thanks guys. yeah love see the tank evolve.

Ranunculus - if memory serves, not trimming it just runs for miles. Weird some tanks it refuses to grow, this tank it loves.

Lol cichlids in a planted tank - lets just say not again.

Thanks @andries , I can not remember if I bought it or got it - or if I ever saw a label for it, do see some anubias shipment recently seems to have landed some.

Thanks @MariaS - and to think if I recall, this was actually only a few individual blues from an outside tank a few years back ... some of them actually have impressively large tail fins.

Funny you say that because I was looking at the tank and thinking the same, together with their bright colors it actually stands out

Made some space - thinking of trying a ground cover of sorts here ... not 100% sure what yet.

Just looking at your tank makes me drool and then I have to remind myself about the 10th comandment followed by the 7th. Your tank just looks awesome. I just love the colors of the buce and various leave shapes of the anubias. Can't see why you need a carpet also, you can't have it all.

he he ... thanks @pierreschoonraad - maybe just a small carpet?

Actually a carpet in this tank might be a real challenge, your are right the colour contrast if probably the best feature of this tank - funny also the best buce growth from all my tanks - you start with good stock the rest is simple.

I water has been proper doge lately - so I am dreading doing anything that will need BIG WC's Lets see night is still young.

@f-fish, I tend to agree with Pierre. If you add a ground cover it my be tooo green, I personally like the contrast the substrate adds ... unless that is you find a red colour ground cover;)
