    It's been a while.

Life get's busy. Crazy Dutch family come and visit, and toddlers keep you running around during the festive season.

    Some updates:
    1. All my Otocinclus kicked the bucket - last one died yesterday.
    2. I've lost 1 ember tetra and 1 cardinal tetra. The ember was lost to fish-on-fish violence, and the cardinal probably to a combo of poor genes and fish-on-fish violence.
    3. The Apistos have had multiple spawns now but no fry.
    4. I'm still trying to get rid of my Danio's (any takers?)
    5. I ripped out the HC and MC carpets to replace them with S Repens.
    6. I started a smaller Betta tank (but have yet to find the right betta) that is currently a shrimp-only tank full of babies.
    7. Multi-tank syndrome has struck hard on account of my wife giving me permission to put a tank in the lounge. My second 300l tank is currently being resealed by Gapedi tanks and will be a slow burn project over the next 6 months (first we need to install solar).
    8. The BBA is slowly coming under control thanks to Hydrogen Peroxide and upping my CO2 ever so slightly.

    Some pics to close.

Love this tank! Balance is great, and plant life looks healthy. Love the placement of that Echinodorus Ozelot.

Sorry to hear about the fish losses.

Wise move re point 5...much easier to manage ;)

Point 8, maybe don't go too crazy on the H2O2, I've had plants die off when I used it too much in the past. Varying CO2 levels is one of the causes for BBA, so with you adjusting it, I suppose BBA is normal. Funny thing is that I kinda like the look of BBA in a tank, but only to a certain point. I normally kill mine off just doing normal water changes + consistent & accurate dosing of Excel.

Well done again, great looking planted tank indeed.
