For smaller cats you use the bidette, but you have to cover it with a plank and a brick on top. Problem is you have to be careful not to have the brick fall on the bidette when you let the cat go or else you break the bidette. I have had to replace two bidettes for this reason in the past, and had to think up a clever story to extract the replacement from the insurance......

@Dirk Bellstedt - sorry for the thread highjack, but considering the potential for hilarity that Henk's question brings to the table, just thought I'd share "How to wash a cat..."

    Hi Azure,

That was not a thread hijack at all, I mean I have seen far worse, you were perfectly to the point, we were trying to get the cat saved from the formaldehyde and then you have to resort to washing the cat, it is as simple as that and then you have to resort to measures to save the cat, I mean on this forum we are animal friendly.

And as to whether cats are off topic on an aquatic fish forum, this does not really matter either.....

    Have a nice day,

    Dirk

Is this formaldehyde not part of the aldehyde group that you guys have been so against or am I just making very bad connections here?

You are quite right that this is about the notorious aldehyde group, but this thread is actually about getting the cat clean now...... we are trying to get rid of the aldehyde groups.....

Yes, and ironically cats do not grow better if you feed them glutaraldehyde, let us not get this confused here either, not for one moment please!

Nah, not interested in starting an argument but have learnt something interesting by this thread :) as I said back to cleaning cats. I have 2 of them and am loving all the new cleaning techniques to try!

Oh Damm! Does that mean I should stop adding excel to the cat's water bowl? I thought it might be a quick-fix for the algae outbreak in there?

    :noworry:........thanks for the chuckles fellas!
