    Thanks @David Kusner

Will certainly keep the updates coming and by the end of that maybe you will be building a new tank for the fish room :):)

    Thanks @Whoknows

Its water change day today so we thought we would do it tonight

They need out the box now as they desperately trying to get over the sides and I have had to tuck in pieces of egg crate to stop them!!

No, will not be using a net as we don't want to expose them to air yet
They will be scooped into a plastic container and moved in that way. The fact that they have become so friendly will make it a lot easier.

They smart they know mommy is down there under that box trying to get back down there :tt2:

Seems simple enough to move
Can air harm them when they so tiny?
Sorry for all the questions just really intrigued by these guys

    @David Kusner 3 easy steps
    • take wife to see baby stingrays (they sell themselves)
    • get giant fish tank, avoid eye contact with spouse during this time frame, pay cash so there is no paper trial to show how much you spent
    • get her to start feeding the new baby ray, ideally hand feeding
after these steps pressure for new rays will come from her no longer from you.
for simplicity i have left out details of beatings, mother inlaw visit i have had endured and the occasional clothes shopping adventure i have had to go on and fit the bill for

Don't know so much if its Mommy they after, they just hyperactive mischievous little brats and don't want to be confined anymore
Their mother has pretty much the same character, always been very active and playful since she was a pup
She also ate from my hand soon after she arrived
She doesn't come up and feed from my hand every day now but boy, if she smells earthworms she is up the side to get them from my hand like jack flash!!

No problem at all with all the questions!

From what we have learnt from research, chatting to very experienced ray keepers overseas and Prof Ross's book on freshwater stingrays, a new-born's skin is very thin and silky feeling, I can feel it from them coming onto my hand
We believe that because their skin is so thin and sensitive at birth, you must avoid netting them and taking them out the water and exposing them to air as they easily pick up any virus or bacteria in the air on contact
So you scoop them into a plastic container ( if you look at the pictures I first posted, you will see Cesar has scooped them up with a Tupperware to move to the box) and you move them like that to their new tank/ container..

We keep this up (if they need to be moved or transported) for the first 4 months or so until they become too big to safely scoop up with a Tupperware

The adult rays , when moving males/females around, @Cesar nets them out with a rubber net ( I wont even attempt to do it) and into a round container with tank water
They ok if exposed to air for a few minutes

Hahha I don't think I will ever forget that day!!

But yes.... that's what they do to you.. they take your heart and you hooked

Cesar begged for a Stingray for about 15 years and he got a flat outright NO every time...
Until he became his own boss and my yes or no made no difference but I still kept saying : ' You must be crazy"
But he went ahead and Ray and Rose arrived I think around 2013 as two small pups..
Well the rest... I don't have to tell you..

Hahaha... do you think that's what's going in @David Kusner's boardroom?

I really like how you call them brats... They too cute to call brats :)
Maybe earthworms smell like pizza to her

That must be an amazing feeling to touch them:) so delicate if they can pick bacteria/virus up so easily but its all worth it in the end

When they become to big just get a bigger Tupperware
Or and even better solution build a giant tank once and then you never have to move them again:tt2:

You bet  plus is you build the tank low enough it can double as a conference table if you add a canopy:D
