So here is an updated pic of the tank, i must say that i am very happy with what it looks like at this stage.

@hazelbag have you thought about a black background? it will bring out the colors of your plants and fish.

 

@ivan yes i have, but do i paint it black or just stick something to the back?

 

the easy way is to get a sheet of black plastic (the type they use for storing plants at nurseries) and cut it to size and stick it to the back of the tank.

My 2c worth but why don't you try and lay the dragon rock down and bed it into the sub so it looks more like an outcrop. Looking good man.

Yup, that's correct. Try lay it flat and point the "spikes" towards the front glass.
