@morris - Interesting. I thought it was advised to remove the excess CO2? I don't airate but thought you were meant to.

Marius - Did Novamarine fit that gate valve? Doesn't look like my gate valve.

Hi @Hawk, true, it is advisable to aerate at night, I infact do it myself, but by lifting my lilly pipe, so it trickles and breaks the water surface for aeration.

I did aerate my tank before with a airstone at night, and found, the inconsistend Co2 caused alot of BBA, as my drop checker went from light green to blue using a airstone at night.
Now I just lift my outflow lilly pipe in the evening and the drop checker goes from light green in the evening before lights out, to dark green in the morning, before lights come on, thou I still get BBA, but alot less.

I think, no matter what one does, or how specialised you are, you will never, never not have algae. It is a matter of how to control the damn stuff

Hi Marius, some nice goodies there. I will suggest you get a cannister rated at, at least 800L/h. You going to loose alot of co2 with a hob filter

I will certenly look at canister soon, im gonna manover the fall of the hob so theres no survace movement. Okey a quick question, what do I use in the bubble counter? to count the bubbles , my oneway valve has a hole in, will have to send back to supplier , but its a nice kit, I might upgrade the defuser to a ada defuser ,love the look of them, n big one. So tomorrow it will begin, hope to get it right quickly. 2 bps?

20130614_130316.jpg Doesn't look to bad, only the one point has abump, laat ek in afr veduidlik. Die valve het die rooi glas tipe material in in die middel, nou daar waar hy seel is die chip uit, so met een val as dai gedeelte sou skyf vining , dan sou hy dit breuk, dis al way wat kon gebeur, bv as jy hom op en af skud hard sal dit ook gebeur.

Will only arrive on Tuesday if I get to the postoffice tomorrow morning counter to counter.

I have plastic ones for my airlines, can also find in George, thanks @f-fish but ill make a plan, might go to George for some rotala and get a valve, he has plastic ones and stainless steel ones for I thinkR35 . Do hope I get the regulater correct, turning in lowers the pressure or raises?

Yes, I understand the the ones we use in our shop, so should be the same. Okey, so when the co2 is added, what in the water will change ? Also should I rather remove the fish to my other guppy tank, I will aventually do that next week when the ada arives

Maybe ph ... but nothing drastic .. start with a low bubble count .. say 20 bubbles per minute, get to know your equipment, leave the fish in the tank. on 20 bubbles a minute your CO2 should last for months.
